I just drove by a couple of dams in Oregon and Washington the past
couple of weeks and Doug is not joking. The water levels are seriously
low. Annual rainfall to-date in Oregon is in the 13" range. Normal is
usually 26+" by this time in the year, so they've received less than
half of normal.

Are you sure whoever said it was upset instead and really said "dam*
basins!" instead?

Though not widely known, the Pacific Northwest has some power
companies
preparing to have 2 hour rolling blackouts this summer because the rain
has
not been sufficient to fill the dam basins.
They haven't made this public yet, because we are still reeling from
our
electric bills doubling.
Please, no more messages about sparing electrons from California; we
want
them back.
