What configuration do you have on the remote server, for
example on our systems management server ( HP9000 ) we have
something like :-

aname #more /.rhosts
anhp3000 MGR.SYSLOG
anhp3000 MANAGER.SYS
anhp3000 MAESTRO.CCC

aname #ls -la /.rhosts
-r-------- 1 root sys 480 Nov 10 08:52 /.rhosts

Subject: [HP3000-L] remsh

Hello HP-e3k gurus,

Does any one have experience with remsh and NT. SERVICES.NET has all the
correct
entries. The rshsvc service is loaded from the MS resource kit. .rhosts is
in the home
directory of the user on the NT box. .rhosts file has one entry of:
hp.system.name HP.USER
From the MPE/iX: run remsh.net.sys;info="remote_sys -l remote_user pwd". I
ALWAYS get
connection refused after about 30 seconds.
Any ideas or detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated.

TIA
