I second Doug Becker's appraisal. I also found the same problem with the
date range but anyway you look at it beats using LOGTOOL to create an
editable file. Thank you, Ron.

The version of GODXL in addition to sending a console message also does not
allow the executable to be renamed and forces a lockword. If you have
creative programmers these are great features. Once again thanks.

This utility is an excellent addition to our tool box and it works well.

Be warned that even though you might specify a date / time range, that this
utility reads ALL the log files.

If you have not cleaned off your log files regularly, the displays could
take a while.

Thank you for sharing this excellent utility, Ron.

You need to read your system's log files. Want to read your console
messages without going to the console. Well I have the tool for you. Its
called LOGREADR. Check out http://horner.horner.home.mindspring.com/ and
go to the free stuff area.

With LOGREADR, you can see the messages that are displayed on your console.
You can search your log files, by session number, job number, or by a
special string. Look at the messages for a specific data range. And you
have a help area to guide you .

Check it out and let me know what you think.
