Tom,
When using the AS400 FTP client, Passive Mode is turned on by default.
To turn off Passive mode, add to your CL the statement "SENDPASV 0". This
should turn off the Passive mode feature. I have never had to toggle this
mode before, but there might be some system setting that turns this feature
on or off by default.
Hope this helps! If you have any questions, let me know.

Subject: AS400 FTP Client to HP3000 (using Passive)
Listers - AS400 gurus,
I have an AS400 system that wants to FTP files from the AS400 to our
HP3000. When they attempt this their transfers are having problems
because their system insists on logging on in "Passive Mode". Is there
a setting or configuration file on the AS400 that determines how the
AS400 will log on to remote systems? If so, where is this file and
what are the setting options? We have other AS400 systems that are
successful in sending files via FTP to the HP3000 system but this one
is having problems.
Thank you,
Tom "not an AS400 guy" Renz
