Hello again,
The tail -f of the /HPSPOOL/OUT/O#### does give the
error message as persmission denied. David and another
kind soul have given their assistance to use the MPEX
and the command PRINTO with the following paramter :
1 mpex>> PRINTO #J1234;WAIT
The semi-colon and WAIT parameter exactly behaves like
the tail -f and displays the progress of the job as it runs. If
at any point there is a need to stop the monioring then press
CTRL-Y and that exits the monitoring and drops you back to
MPEX.
All the above is what I got from some of the members of this group
who have given their advice.
Thank you very much for your kind help,
John
