I'm not sure about your edit mask problem, but Query does support the
leading minus sign. Use NOPUNCH, and Query will put the minus sign up front.

Subject: "query" anyone?

Hello everyone!
I have a data-item 12345 and another data-item -23456. I would like to see
the result as 123.45 Currently I am using edit mask as ZZZZZZZZZ9. If I use
edit mask as ZZZZZZZZ.99 I get the result as 12345.00. If I use edit mask as
$$$$$$$$.99 I still get the same result (with a $ sign in front). Can some
expert suggest to me what edit mask to use to get desired results. Also How
can I get "-" sign as first character (e.g. -234.56) when the item value
is -ve? TIA
