Headline from the Associated Press from JERUSALEM made it to the
woods of Chattanooga, "Israeli draftee sues to keep ponytail".
"Women soldiers are allowed to keep their long hair, even if they
serve in combat units, so why not men, Avishay Saban, 18, argued
before the Supreme Court on Tuesday."
"The court gave the military 45 days to explain why soldiers are
allowed to grow beards but not long hair or ponytail."
Which raises still another question: Are bearded WOMEN allowed
in the Israeli army? :-)
That only goes to show that FORM over SUBSTANCE is everywhere in
the world. No wonder there's so much violence, even in the
Holy Land, where in one CITY, different worshippers of presumably
the same god all tell the OTHERS they belong to hell.
Come to think of it ... that's no different in Scuba-SE, and
formerly Scuba-L! :-)
