When I recently downloaded enhydra3.1.zip for setting up a workshop
machine, it worked fine for me. Could it be that you had a non-binary
transfer somewhere? Or is your target file on the 3000 not bytestream
but something like variable binary?

The working (bytestream) file on my 3000 is 10790279 bytes large.
