If my memory serves me well, a 13037A was a MAC/HP-IB converter. It was used
to plug MAC disks onto HP-IB interfaces. That generation of disks included
the 50 MB 7920A and the 120-MB 7925A. If you have an old box like an HP3000
Series 40 or similar (Classic, looooong before HP-PA !!!), you can plug old
drives like these. Maybe even older drives (7906A ?) can do too. I think the
HP1000s at the same time were series M, E, and/or F, with similar
interfaces. Not sure, since I'm not an HP1000 expert.
In this case, MAC has of course nothing to do with Apple computers. It was
the pre-HPIB disk technology. And, btw, at that time, I believe disks were
still spelled discs. We're dealing with late-70s to early-80s equipment.
That's the best I can remember so far.
