(In the U.S.) is there anywhere that a separate school
is levied or are they apportioned out of local or
state property taxes?  I don't think you'll ever be
rid of property taxes.

AND ... if public school support is EVER de-apportioned
out of your property taxes, can one be foolish enough to
think property taxes will be lowered?  Muahahahahahaha!

I must conclude therefore, the aforementioned tax argument
is moot, and that school vouchers must be argued on other
merits.

I am in a dilemma:
On one side, I feel that everyone 'uses' the public education system.
This is where the bulk of our future citizens are educated.  If we let
public education fall to rack and ruin because the people with money are
no longer forced to support it we will have an even more elitist society.
On the other side, my children are grown and no longer using the public
education system.  Can I stop paying school  taxes?
