Susan Gregory has done it again with a little help from her friends:

I now have the Enhydra demo up and running on MPE i/X 6.0, Power Patch 2, plus some other patches.

Three major problems in one year, resolved!

Way to go Susan!

Here is hoping that the HP labs will incorporate the learnings into their test programs for the next release, e.g., using Enhydra to test Java during integration testing as part of a comprehensive test set / script.

It would also help if some of the alpha testing in the lab used a machine that was not loaded with standard goodies; that is to say, things like NS3000/iX and to assure that AIF:PE (whatever that means) is set to represent folks like some of us who are not as blessed with all the bells and whistles available to those in the HP lab environment (at least for a "final" test).

I know it's a pain to use "sneaker net", but it could help to alleviate some of the "gottcha's" we've encountered in the past.

We understand that MPE i/X isn't our grandfather's operating system any more and appreciate all the new stuff we now have access to.

We appreciate folks who put out products and examples like Mark Bixby, Mike Yawn, Lars Appel, and all the rest: It takes work to understand how to put all the pieces together and some of us struggle. The information has been a great help!

This is leading edge stuff--and it is starting to come together for us.

Thank you all for the efforts which have been making us successful and working with us in a cooperative effort!
