It could be one, or many things.  I would first look at the program(s) that you
are running.  If you can find the intrinsics that it calls (through linkedit, or
through mpex), check the manuals.  There is a description that indicates if it
is CM, NM, or both.  If the program is a CM program, there will also be alot of
switching.
