Ready, set,....OOPS....forgot to mention that my problem STARTS when I see
230 User usfwsp logged in.

It seems that my session 'locks-up'...enter does nothing, and then The
Timeout kicks in.

All that generally means is that you haven't conducted any PUTs or GETs (or
DIRs or whatever) during the last 900 seconds after you logged on, and thus
the remote server automatically signs you off.

This setting is configurable on every FTP server but 900 seconds (15
minutes)
is a surprisingly common setting.
