Hi everybody,

Firstly thanks to those who replied re my 'Samba Config Updating' query, that
issue is now closed.

Another issue that has been raised is the one regarding the
'EnablePlainTextPassword' registry entry that must? be added to an NT
workstation to allow Samba to authenticate the connections.

I noticed the 'encrypt passwords' option in the smb.conf help file, but it
also mentions that this perhaps won't achieve recognition of encrypted
passwords unless other modules are recompiled to take advantage of this.

As our parent company are pretty damn strict regarding security issues, this
may pose a problem if we want to roll out Samba though the majority of our
users.

Could someone please clarify this position for me.
