A much better hoax was the GPF bunny. At least they had doctored pictures of
a bunny glowing green from jellyfish genes and articles planted in strategic
places in normally creditable news sources (though they were all written by
Amanda Onion). I e-mailed a professor who supposedly made comment on the
bunny and his reaction was, Say What? I don't know a thing about it. Yes, the
lab exists. The scientist exists (though no mention of the GPF Bunny was
found on the official web site), but unfortunately I could not get his e-mail
address. Anyone taking bets on what he would say?

These are great uban ledgends and we should respect them as such.
