I should have deleted that one since it is not supported by
MPE/iX either. The list of SYSSTART commands is in old code
and had several commands listed that are no longer supported
by MPE/iX. I tried to delete those but I didn't get all of them.

SETCOUNTER, SPOOLER are newer than most of the commands and
my guess is the manual didn't get updated. I don't know why
the other commands are not in the manual.

Another person mentioned surprise at NETCONTROL and NSCONTROL
being supported since these commands are typically needed and
always seem to be executed from a job rather than directly from
SYSSTART. I double checked the code and NETCONTROL and NSCONTROL
are in the list of supported commands. I tried these commands
on a test system and they did NOT work. So, PROGEN accepted the
commands but for some other reason they did not execute.

I have not tried, but my guess is no.

and others too if we are making a list. My preference would be to
allow ALL commands to be executed directly from SYSSTART, but this
would require some major surgery on that part of the boot process.
It MAY be possible to allow all non-process create commands (though
I am not sure why there is a problem for them either). I know of
at least one constraint, and that is there are only three CI variables
available in the current SYSSTART/PROGEN environment: CIERR, HPCIERR
and HPLASTJOB.

If anyone with debugging experience is interested in testing *any*
command via SYSSTART let me know and I will tell you where to patch
your SL. You pretty much need a crash & burn system since you will
be rebooting a lot.

 Jeff
