Hello folks @ 3000-l,

Re: Gateway outage detection

-------------------------------------------------Greg Stigers writes--
On a 55 system appropriately patched to recover from loss of a
gateway, how can we determine if such loss and recovery occurred? We
are trying to discover the cause of a problem with our Oracle
listener, and one known cause for this is loss of a gateway.
Previously when this happened, the gateway stayed lost, no one could
connect to this system from here (but we could connect to another
3000, and telnet into the affected 3000 locally to troubleshoot and
correct), and it was all very obvious that the gateway had been lost
and what steps we needed to perform to recover.

Sorry, but no message is logged... SR's 5003466375 & 5003465294
request this logging, but it has not been implemented.
