Sounds like you probably haven't installed 6.0 GR patch MPELX44C as mentioned
in the System Requirements section of http://www.bixby.org/mark/apacheix.html.

Since I last updated that web page, a bug surfaced where MPELX44C wasn't
working correctly if you were also using AIF:PE on your machine.  So 6.0 GR
patch MPELXC6A is now available which supersedes MPELX44C and fixes the AIF:PE
related problem.

For Apache DSOs on 6.0, MPELXC6A is the patch you really should have, but
MPELX44C is sufficient if you aren't using AIF:PE.
