It doesn't seem that difficult . . . but that wasn't your question :).

How about instead just doing

:Build ./TheBlob.tiff

Not sure I understand this statment.

One option is to put SAMBA on your system.  Another is to FTP the files to the
3000 (or from another box, depending on which of the boxes has an FTP server
running).  Another is to build yourself an HTML page with a file-upload button
and use Apache itself for doing the upload.

Stick the files in one of the Apache served directories and voila, you're ready
to go.
