Mark,  instead of converting INETDSEC.NET.SYS to a byte stream,  perhaps
making a copy of it, convert that copy to a bytestream file.  Change the
link to point to the new file.  Then create a very short script that will
convert and overwrite the new bytestream file.  Use that script after
INETDSEC.NET.SYS is modified.
