Leave it now as it is! MPE is trying to balance this itself.
If this will take longer than expected use a defragmentation tool.
Reason: especailly database root files will be kept in one block if
possible. by purging files this will result in such assymetrics between the
disks.

Best regards, Andeas Schmidt, CSC, Germany

P.S. Discfree 1 will proove above statement!

Subject: [HP3000-L] Disc Space

Hello All, I have a question:

I just purged about 21 million sectors withing 2 different groups using the
store;purge option.. This was done because of some Space Problems(ie all
Member Vols at or exceeding 80%..

This worked fine, and gave me back some much needed space, but now I have
another problem: 5 of the Discs are still at 80 % while other are at 75%
and

My question is how can I balance out the Members so that everything is
around 75%.. (ie How do I see what files are on those members?) Do I need
to run a De-Frag(third party software)? I am going into a Month-end, so I
want to avoid in Space Problems..

As Always any help is much appreciated..
