Bill:
You can purchase I/O extenders for your 979. You can use up to two
extenders, each with a total of 5 Fast Wide adapters allowed. Plus, you
can probably fit another two F/W adapters into your internal card cage.
That's a total of 12 F/W adapters. HP/EMC recommends one adapter per
symmetrix box. If each Symmetrix is a total of 579Gb without mirroring,
that's a total of 6948Gb of disk space! Is that enough??
