This response is late, but I didn't see anyone provide this solution:
I am using the following command in a job stream:
!XEQ sh.hpbin.sys '-Lc "./startgpp.bat"'
This invokes the shell script(print included to demonstrate HFS file name):
%print ./startgpp.bat
PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/java/latest/bin
export PATH
CLASSPATH=$CLASSPATH:percobol.jar:jsdk.jar:examples:.
export CLASSPATH
java -Xms64m -Xmx64m -Xnojit sun.servlet.http.HttpServer

Subject: [HP3000-L] scripts with longer names
Is there any way of having the ci execute a script in the HFS? I.e.
./createjobq named file?
