That's a good idea but I've tried it and it won't work. While the
understanding is that HP-IB drivers were removed for 6.5, in reality all CIO
based drivers were removed. Even if you boot from a SCSI device (which BTW I
think is only supported on the 948 and 958 with the correct firmware, but
not the 922 or 932) and utilize only SCSI disks and tapes you cannot run 6.5
because the 922/932/948/958 systems are still employing CIO channel adapters
and a CIO terminal/MUX card for the console.
