I for one think we all have lots to thank our veterans for.
While off-topic in a technical sense, it is far less so
than much of the usual drivel that comes by. I promise to
make the next posts on-topic.

So thanks Uncle Oris, for being wounded twice in WWII Italy,
and thanks Dad (severely injured in plane crash during basic
training in WWII.) Thanks to my many other relatives who were fortunate
enough not to be killed or injured, but still put quite a slice
of their life into the war effort. And I can't forget their families
who suffered right along with them.

Thanks to all the Vietnam vets I have worked with, for quietly
doing what their country asked, then coming back home and
working with the rest of us. And I thank all those soldiers,
regular army, reserve or guard, who may be stuck somewhere far
from home, doing what they were ordered to do, and risking their lives
to do it.

I think it would be nice if John explained why this particular OT message
didn't belong here.

Being a VFW myself, I would like to say thanks for the kind words that were
said.To repeat what was stated before: The holiday is for the "people" who
had to go, not to celebrate "war". War sucks.
