While drumming my fingers hoping someone on the newscientist list will
answer Jean Marc's query, whether 'fish feeling pain' I came across this
question about lobsters.

I have always been told to put anything sort of creepy-crawly, that is
still alive, in to the deep freeze to put it to sleep before cooking it.
Was also by a chef that dropping lobster in to a hot pot of water was a
definite no-no as they tense up causing their flesh to harden from the
shock.

On a pleasanter note there was also this question - why dolphins dont get
the bends.
