It was a joke! And I DID write that the statement was not quite true.
Perhaps this is regional humor. Hmmm, I wonder who Tinker AFB was named
after?

Gee, I had figured that * someone * would pick up on what either man had
accomplished in their lives, and with Wiley Post being the less well-known
of the two, he was the likelier candidate for illumination.

But at least I set a high water mark, writing something with a rare degree
of incorrectness.
