Uhh...that's what he said.

It seems like it would be *so* much simpler if these manuals treated their
readers like adults and talked about maximum values like 65535, 32767,
4294967295, etc. Especially since, as the values show, it is perfectly
feasible to store a value with (gasp!) *ten* decimal digits into a 32-bit
field, or 5 decimal digits into a 16-bit field.
