An SNA card for the 9x8 series? [half-sized card, probably fits in a number
of 9xx systems, not just 9x8]

This was one of the items included in the 918 I purchased, and to be honest,
the only "IBM" equipment I'll be hooking up to is a PC -- so I have no real
need for an SNA card.

OTOH, the tape drive on the system appears a little worse for the wear -- a
simple store of "@.sampledb.sys" [barely 2 megabytes] fails almost
instantly, then marks the tape "bad" [even "fresh out of the box" tapes]
Would the value of the SNA card be equivalent to a new [or refurbished] DDS
drive? a DLT drive? [which would be more "robust"?] or should I take it down
to the shotgun range down the street and wait for someone to yell "pull!"?
