Here in the Philippines it is common for fishermen to "dynamite"
the reefs, then collect the dead or stunned fish (of all sizes)
that float to the surface.  I've been under water when some
fisherman has started blasting; even though I know it's farther
away than it sounds, and the boatman above should keep the
fishermen away, it's quite unnerving.
