I think Yahoo just bought Egroups within the last two months.
6 of one, half dozen of the other.

I belong to three eGroups. Two are XML related and the other is an
unofficial college alumni group. I don't know how much spam comes in from
it, but the little stuff they add at the end of messages is no worse than a
HotMail or Yahoo account.
