While I can't be sure that this may be part of your problem
but I would check into the patch level of the MPE 5.5 system, HUSKY.
I have seen date related issues on 5.5 with out any PowerPatches and
earlier PowerPatches (PP1).  I would recommend that you at least be on
5.5 PowerPatch 7.
