and I totally agree. My elder children used to read a great deal (we
didn't buy a TV for ages) and their spelling and grammar is far
better than my younger children's who spend far more time
watching TV than reading. I also think the elder ones have better
imagination too. I believe this is because a reader has to imagine
the situation in a book whilst with TV and film, you get the
director's imagination.
Or am I wildly off beam?
