We ran it over token ring.

We migrated our strategies to ftp [which works very well] and TCP/IP sockets programs (client / server) between MPE iX and OS/390 [my apologies to all for refering to it as "MVS/ESA"--that's old hat!]

Has anyone configured the SNA LU6.2 product with an IBM mainframe? Can it be
run over Token Ring or just SDLC with the HP3000? The APPC manual suggests
it's only for SDLC and X.25 but the manual on DOCS.HP.COM was publish back in
1992(wow!). We are considering using APPC with the mainframe to retrieve
some data base information. APPC means (Application program to program
communication) for those not familiar with the term. Are there better
solutions available than the LU6.2 APPC API?

Thanks in advance for any wisdom you are willing to share!
