This may be an event for the historic record -- that Da Feeesh had to
leave on STATE (SC) to go to another (TN) just to get an ISP to post in
Scuba-SE. :-)

Sue forwarded the email below to me YESTERDAY and it didn't arrive till
this morning. ;-)

Subject: Update on Internet Problems

The State's Internet service provider's problems in delivering service to
the university continue. In addition to the previously reported technical
problems, it now appears that the provider has a capacity problem which it
is moving to address.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

CAPACITY PROBLEM??? I can just see it coming ... everyone is limited
to sending no more than 3 emails a day of 10 lines each. :-) THAT'll
keep me out of Scuba-SE fer sho.

So far, I am trying various ISPs in the Chattanooga area. Most of them
suck (compare to Clemson's when it was WORKING). BTW, Clemson won some
category in TIME Magazine for "Public College of the Year" in its
innovative use of its computing facilities for inter-disciplinary
programs.

So far, the Compaq ISP is working fairly well. HOWEVER, I must stay away
from it so that I can get some REAL work done here. :)
