Apache 1.3.4 can be downloaded from http://jazz.external.hp.com/src/apache/.
Apache requires MPE/iX 6.0 or later. This version of Apache is included in
MPE/iX 6.5 FOS in the APACHE account. Apache 1.3.4 is fully supported via the
HP Response Center.

A beta copy of Apache 1.3.9 can also be downloaded from the same jazz web
page. This is the same Apache code base as the WebWise Secure Web Server, but
without the SSL functionality. It includes many new features added since
1.3.4, with the most important IMO being support for Dynamic Shared Objects
(DSOs -- add-on Apache modules residing in NMXLs). This beta is supported
directly by the CSY R&D lab via e-mail.

A not-supported-by-HP Apache 1.3.12 can be downloaded from
http://www.bixby.org/mark/apacheix.html. This version includes a bundled
mod_perl.

For a secure SSL web server, the HP WebWise MPE/iX Secure Web Server product
(B9074AA IIRC) is now available for purchase. You get Apache 1.3.9 + mod_ssl +
OpenSSL. Pricing on WebWise is $1295/$1595/$1995 depending on your machine
tier.

A web server can do that for you!

There are many different options for doing this. You might start by taking a
look at http://www.businessservers.hp.com/products/appdev/CSY000CB1.pdf.

If the public Internet is being used as the network transport and you don't
want prying eyes to possibly sniff your data, then you seriously want to
consider buying WebWise and using its SSL encryption capabilities.

If you're planning to attend HPWorld, I will be giving a 2-hour tutorial on the
WebWise Secure Web Server on Thursday 9/14 from 8-10AM.
