The TIME-OF-DAY special register and the EXAMINE statement (mentioned
in an earlier thread) are COBOL extensions that are not unique to
HP COBOL II.  I expect that Micro Focus COBOL would support them
if you specify the right compiler directives.  Hint:  look for
directives to emulate IBM OS/VS COBOL.

Disclaimers:  I have never used MF COBOL.  I am looking at some
documentation that is several years old.
