Dear all,

We have about 250 Network Printers configured through NBSPOOL on HP3000
(MPE/iX 5.5).

Sometimes we have problem where the devices (LDEV Numbers) for these
printers will show "AVAIL" in the 'showdev N248P' command (where N248P is a
Network printer defined in NBSIN.NBSPOOL.SYS file). Infact the 'showdev
N248P' should give output as SPOOLED. In such a case the printer will not
print and error message is : Output Device is not spooled.

The only way out , I have found is to reboot the system. I want to know if
it can be solved without shutting down the system.
