Oops, nobody asked about putting a tape online, did they...(it's Friday)
What I meant to answer was the auto reply...
If you have the program on your system you can do this.
RUN AUTOREP.UTIL.SYS;PARM=7
If you want to turn it back off, use -7.

Actually, you can put the tape online by using devctrl also...
DEVCTRL.MPEXL.TELESUP 7;LOAD=ONLINE
That'll do it...

Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] Help - Setting AutoReply & AutoEject
Cathy,
Part 1:
You set up devices for autoreply inside of sysgen. You can do something
similar to the following.
:Sysgen
sysgen> IO
io>md 7;mode=autoreply
io>hold
io>exit
sysgen>keep
sysgen>exit
Part 2:
You can specify a device to autoeject by using DEVCTRL.MPEXL.TELESUP.
echo ******************* DEVCTRL SYNTAX ERROR ***********************
echo
echo Usage Syntax:
echo DEVCTRL LDev COMPRESSION=Compress EJECT=Eject LOAD=Load where
echo LDev - Logical Device Number (Required)
echo Compress - [Enable | Disable | Nochange]
echo Eject - [Enable | Disable | Nochange]
echo Load - [Online | Offline | Nochange]
echo
echo ******************* DEVCTRL SYNTAX ERROR ***********************
Hope that this helps.
