Hello,
VAM Files -> Perm Files
I would like to know if I can make a VAM files permanent. Is there a
way to do it, else it self-erases after opening it. I tried copying
it, but the copied file is also a VAM file. I wanna make it into a
normal file ... is there a way?
Diff command in MPE
Also, I tried to do a diff command using the SH (Unix/Posix) shell,
but even though I used the -h and -H and also the bdiff commands, I
get the "FILE TOO LARGE" error message. Is there a tool on MPE C.55.00
to do a diff of two files? I know that FCOPY can check if it is
different or not, but I want to list the differences, just the Unix
diff command.
If there isn't a diff command in MPE, can we write one and if so, is
the PASCAL language included with the MPE regular Pascal language? Can
anyone point me to how I can write a simple Pascal program and compile
and run it in MPE?
Thanks again for all your help.
Cheers!
John
