If I may tag along on this subject...

We've just plugged in an HP LineJet 1500Q and have it networked to our 957
and an odd thing happens at times.  Sometimes, but not always, after a long
report, the printer will not print the trailing banner.  It shows as being
active, so nothing else will print and to clear the printer we have to do an
ABORTIO until the spooling process stops.

I've also been able to restart the printer simply by taking it offline, then
back online.

Have any of you seen this phenomenon?  If so, what can be done?

Also, should you always use serial_printer_simulation = true on a networked
line printer?
