Let's take a look at the computer scene and HP.

1.  PC's Number 2? but not a very secure one.  Value added - where?

2.  UNIX Number 2 again (maybe number one depending on how you count
'em)
    but where's the value added?  Better hardware?  Well maybe, but
    everybody's is getting better and HP out source a lot.  Applies to
   PC's also.

3.  MPE unique stable architecture, with robustness that no no one else
has.
    Therefore better profit margins.

4.  Software.  Some, but the best if it runs in the 3000.

Seems to me HP is foolish not to sell the Hell out of the 3000.

One man's not so humble opinion.
