It's budget time again and my manager wants to know what hardware/software I
would like for the 3000 in the comming year. One area I would like to
improve performance is in network access as we are accessing the 3000 more
often from gui clients and pulling down large amounts of data into SQl
Server.

For those of you that have upgraded from a 10MB nic:

1) Was there a noticable inmprovement in throughput?
2) What nic did you upgrade to?
3) What was the cost of the nic/license fee/support?
4) Did HP at least kiss you before charging you a license fee?*

*I believe when I looked into this before that HP charges a license fee for
a faster nic. If I am incorrect, ignore this question. :>

Thanks
