If I understand what you are asking, you have to have SAMBA "announce"
itself to the users' WINS for them to be able to browse it. This is what I
have in my smb.conf to allow us to see our remote 3000's shares. IIRC,
multiple entries are supported, with appropriate caveats (what if you have
two jsmiths on two different WINS?).

  remote announce = 172.17.132.63
# GStigers 990426 added to use WINS for name resolution
  wins server = 172.17.132.63
