We use a fireproof safe for DDS storage.  The only caveat I know of (besides
the fire last longer or being hotter than the specs) is that most of these
fireproof vaults use some kind of vapor-producing insulation that keeps the
safe cool by boiling.  So, the DDS tapes need to be in some kind of
water-proof, boil-proof container.

We use ZipLock bags for this purpose.
