Gee, I guess the calls from some of 'those' vendors should start any day
now.....

VENDOR:  'You know, now that HP is de-supporting these 256-x printers, this
is a great time for your company to try our ribbons.  While they're not
OEM,......'

YOU:  'I prefer the OEM-brand ribbons...same for my LJet carts.'

VENDOR:  'These are better than the OEM...to prove it, let me ship a case
out to you...you said your shipping address was....?'

Stop buying HP 256X Ribbons!  They are too expensive.
Buckeye Business Products sell these ribbons.  I have
no connection with this company other than being a
satisfied user.
