As far as I can tell, the annual visual inspection here is a dive industry
thing (anyone know for sure?). All shops look for a sticker on the tank
before filling it. The hydro is different, the tanks are sent away for this
and receive a permanent stamp once it's done. I suppose I could try finding
somewhere else, but my issue is with the idea that most of us would like to
support our local dive shops, not find ways to circumvent them. However, we
do expect a certain level of service in return.
