I thought, briefly, about doing just that - and then discarded the idea!

Although I have sometimes been offered gear for nothing to test, I *usually*
resist accepting it!  The big problem with doing so - IMO - is that it's
never "free".  There's always a price attached:  Generally the expectation
that any negative features will be played down or overlooked! :-)

On the other hand, I have no qualms about *borrowing* equipment from the
manufacturers and returning it at some unspecified time in the future! :-)
