Thus it was written in the epistle of Jon Temple,

I am often amused to discover that something which is very obvious to one
person is considered not true by another :-). If I've read this discussion
correctly, Cognos and Speedware are both incredibly superior to the other,
Cognos and COBOL are likewise mutually superior and Transact beats both
COBOL and Cognos except that it's about the same as COBOL and can't hold a
candle to Cognos :-).

The only agreement is that Cognos is terribly priced (except that they can
be made to see the light (and, if I hear correctly, have provided user pricing
which is a lot cheaper)) and that Speedware, which is much cheaper, is priced
about the same.

Anyone else confused or is it just me? Appears that a lot of us have finally
gotten into the pasture with the greener grass and we're still in different
pastures :-).
