This error has been there for a long time. I have always added this set
command to my AUTOEXEC.BAT file. That is where you should set your
environment variables.

Subject: installing HP laserRom on Win 98

Since we bought our 917 used we got no manuals other than what our
known-for-20-years CE has given us. He managed to dig up an HP LaserRom
MPE/ix Release 5.5 CD-ROM for installation on a PC.

I install it and then when I try and run it get the error to "Please Set
Environment Variable Fultemp", eg, set fultemp=c:\tmp"

So I looked at the old familiar config.sys and it looks like it is just
used
for MS-DOS mode. Anyone know of the file for Win 95/98 that controls
environment variables?

Seeing this error is....very un-HP like...

Bill
